Clowns

These clowns were designed special for an annual school festival, based on a drawing found in their "archives" from an eighth grade student! The committee requested two 24" clowns. The doll bodies were made of cotton and the face details were hand embroidered. I hand sewed (with heavy button thread) a pompom for the nose and on each shoe. The hat and jumpsuit were made of polyester-cotton and appliqued with bright circles. I also hand-sewed pompoms on the clothing, but backed each with a button to prevent them from being pulled off easily! The jumpsuit has elastic at the wrists and ankles, as well as bright colored rickrack. On the back of the jumpsuit, I sewed bright "fake" buttons, and used velcro for easy dressing for small children. (And less stress for Mom!) This type of doll can be made in several different sizes, and I have made them as "learning" boys and girls for small children. Email me with your special request!
